Privacy Policy
BAYRI LABS is the independent software brand operated by Ahmet Utku Bayrı (the “Developer,” “we,” or “us”). This policy explains how the OneNote Migration for Confluence app (“App”) accesses, processes and stores data. It also applies when you contact us for support. Contact: support@bayrilabs.com.
1. What the App does
The App allows an authorized user to access selected Microsoft OneNote notebook, section and page content and migrate it into a specified Atlassian Confluence Cloud space. Depending on the selected source, content can include text, formatting, hyperlinks, tables, images and file attachments.
2. Data we process
- Microsoft account and access information: Microsoft sign-in/profile identifiers needed to establish the connection; OAuth authorization and refresh mechanisms used by Atlassian Forge external authentication. The App requests
User.Read,Notes.Readandoffline_accesspermissions. - Selected OneNote content: notebook, section and page names and identifiers, page text and formatting, images, attachments and related metadata that the user chooses to migrate.
- Atlassian information: the relevant Confluence site, installation/user context, selected destination space, page and attachment identifiers, and information needed to create and verify destination content.
- Persistent app records and verification evidence: Atlassian account IDs, notebook and destination identifiers and names, migration plans and checkpoints, progress, source-to-destination mappings, errors and diagnostics. Successful job records can also contain readable verification evidence, including migrated page text, table contents and hyperlinks—not only hashes or identifiers. These records may include personal or confidential information present in the selected content.
- Support communications: information you voluntarily provide when contacting us, including your email address and troubleshooting details.
3. How the data is used
We process this information to connect authorized services, show available OneNote content, carry out and verify requested migrations, resume or troubleshoot migration jobs, prevent duplicate imports, address support requests, maintain security and meet applicable legal obligations. We do not use the selected OneNote content for advertising.
4. Where information goes
Data is accessed from Microsoft Graph and selected content is written into the customer's Atlassian Confluence Cloud destination. App operational records are held through Atlassian Forge-hosted storage. Microsoft, Atlassian and the customer's organization each have separate service or account arrangements governing their systems. We do not represent Confluence destination pages as BAYRI LABS-owned copies.
Some OneNote content is processed transiently while performing an import. However, not all app-held data is temporary: the App also persists migration metadata and readable content-verification evidence in Forge-hosted records, including page text, table values and links. Technical diagnostics and error records may persist separately. This is distinct from the actual destination pages and attachments stored in your Confluence site.
5. Location and international transfers
Forge-hosted persistent data follows the Atlassian site's data residency configuration where supported. Available Forge storage regions currently include Australia, Canada, Germany, India, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States; the European Union region uses infrastructure in Germany and Ireland. A site configured for Global residency may have data located or moved among Atlassian-supported regions. Actual storage country depends on the customer's Atlassian configuration. Microsoft 365 processing locations also depend on the customer's Microsoft service configuration. See Atlassian Forge data residency documentation and Microsoft's applicable service terms for further details.
6. Retention and deletion
No fixed automatic expiry is currently enforced for migration job records, identity mappings, verification evidence or retained failure diagnostics. These app-held records may therefore remain in Forge-hosted storage for an open-ended period, including after a migration finishes. Cancellation, disconnecting Microsoft or uninstalling the App must not be interpreted as automatically or immediately deleting all app-held records. Atlassian's underlying platform data lifecycle may also apply, but is not a substitute for an app-level deletion guarantee.
Complete account-scoped erasure is not currently available as an operational or self-service feature. We are addressing this before a general paid release. You can send a request concerning app-held records, access, correction or erasure to support@bayrilabs.com; we will review the request, verify authority where appropriate, and explain the available next steps or limitations. This statement does not reduce rights you may have under applicable data protection law.
Pages and attachments already migrated into Confluence remain under the customer's control and are not automatically removed by disconnecting or uninstalling the App. Removal of Confluence content, if desired, must be managed by authorized users or administrators within that environment.
7. Your choices and rights
Use of the App and selection of source pages are controlled by authorized users and their organization's administrators. Microsoft permissions can be managed through the relevant Microsoft account or tenant settings. Depending on applicable law, individuals may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability of personal data and to lodge a complaint with their data protection authority. For organization-controlled content, we may refer a request to the relevant organization where appropriate. There is currently no automatic in-app mechanism that guarantees complete deletion of all retained records in response to such requests.
8. Legal basis and roles
For customer-directed migration content, the organization normally determines the purpose of the migration and associated data processing. When we act on personal information for our own support, security or business administration purposes, relevant grounds may include performance of a contract, legitimate interests and legal obligations, as applicable. Appropriate controller/processor responsibilities depend on the customer relationship and the applicable agreements.
9. Protection and recipients
We use the authentication, permission and storage facilities available in Forge and the Microsoft/Atlassian platforms. Access to selected source and destination content is constrained by the corresponding integrations and granted permissions. Data may be processed by Microsoft and Atlassian as service providers, and by a customer's authorized users. Security cannot be guaranteed absolutely; report concerns to support@bayrilabs.com.
10. Website and policy updates
This informational website is a static site and does not deliberately deploy advertising trackers or behavioral analytics. The hosting provider may process routine connection information to deliver the pages and maintain security. We may revise this policy as the App changes, updating the effective date above. Material changes will be communicated when required by law or platform requirements.
